Our goal is to protect your data as thoroughly as possible. We start by taking a backup of your data. If you do not have a Foresight appliance, this backup is stored on our primary Farsight server, at our secure colocation facility. If you have a Foresight applience, this backup is stored at your location for easy access. A copy is then made to our Farsight servers.
Sounds pretty good, right? It is. Your data is now stored offsite. This allows for recovery even in the case of a catastrophe at your main office. But just to be sure, we make a second copy of your data and store it on our secondary Farsight server, located at our operations center. Here, our helpdesk can have physical access to your data. If you need it archived onto DVD, or copied onto a disk and sent by courier to your office, the fact that we have personell standing by with physical access to our servers gives us the ability to fulfill your requests.
We have equal love and respect for all operating systems. We fully support backups on MacOS X 10.3 and above, Windows, and most flavors of Linux.
We backup up Exchange Server (Exchange 2000, Exchange 2003, Exchange 2007, all editions), SQL Server (SQL 2000, SQL 2005, SQL 2008, all editions), and MySQL server. Oh, and there are no agent fees to do it.
