Your backups are still replicated to our two offsite storage facilities, but with the appliance onsite, you can restore entire databases, servers, redeploy workstations, and even increase your backup frequency, all with blazing performance. Many tape drives operate in the 100-150 MB/min range. On a typical network, the Foresight Appliance averages 350 MB/min . Plus, because the backups are catalogued on disk, there is no time lost swapping tapes when you need a restore. With the appliance, we can create disk images for your servers and workstations. If one loses a drive, the imaging process can have you up and running within 30 minutes of installing the new drive.
